In 1987, John Moses BROWNING (1855-1926) presented to the Colt Company
(USA) and to the National Manufacturers of War Arms in Belgium a prototype
of the first gun to work using a short recoil of the barrel: the COLT
AUTOMATIC 38 MODEL 1900.
J. M. BROWNING worked together with the two manufacturers and slowly,
by March 1911, a new model evolved: the COLT 1911 SPECIAL ARMY, which
fired 6,000 shots in succession during trials.
The fact that the COLT 1911 achieved such an unprecedented standard
led quickly to its enormous success, with production starting in December
1911 for the American Army and in March 1912 for the civil market.

The BB guns we supply are replica guns and are not the cheap imported models found on markets or other websites and can only fire the specific amunition being plastic ball bearings ( BB'S) for this reason you do not need to hold a licience to use the air pistols and air rifles we sell. However we must legally advise that if misused you can be imprisoned.

Air Soft Guns® are, apart from some scaled down pocket models, 1/1 scale replicas of the actual guns manufactured by such famous names as Colt, Smith & Wesson, and Walther, to name but a few.
Firing 6mm BB plastic bullets, these replicas are intended for 'plinking' and general fun gunning. The power is measured in joules, one joule being the maximum power of any model and with some as low as 0.02 joules. To provide a comparison, 0.5 joules equals the bounce back force of a tennis ball dropped onto a hard surface from 1 metre high. 1 joule is equal to 1.4ft lb. Manufactured mostly in plastic and high impact ABS resin, (some with metal components), Air Soft Guns® are accurate in every detail to that of the actual official firearm models.
