FUD ANCHORS

Anchors are manufactured from steel that is again given an electro-deposited enamel coating for long life protection. All FUD anchors are essentially flat to enable anchor storage within the body of the decoy, and to allow the anchor to pass through the pedestal slot for secure storage of the anchor (where it can never untangle), or for chaining when used in strong winds and rivers where current is an issue.

FUD anchors take advantage of the FUD's unique folding action to provide a mechanism whereby the anchor is locked inside the decoy's body during transport and storage. After winding up the anchor string around the foot of the pedestal the anchor is then hung over the locking notch at the top and rear of the foot. This process means that when the pedestal is pulled up for cartage on the Fudslinger that the foot of the pedestal holding the anchor string is pinched inside the body. As long as the FUD is carried vertically the anchor cannot disengage and untangle.

FUD anchors are provided in two different sizes to better suit individual hunting requirements. If you are hunting in areas where big waves or big winds create anchor drag then consider upsizing to goose anchors, or even doubling up your anchors as show above. To double up simply created a loop above your first anchor, thread the loop through the eye of the second anchor, and then pass the 1st anchor through that loop. This works most effectively and provides a means to add and remove anchors as necessary.
