Memory Card Compatibility List

Mobile Phones:

Sony Ericsson mobile phones generally use Memory Stick Micro M2 memory cards. This format is solely for Sony Ericsson devices. Most Sony Ericsson mobile phones can use large capacities but please refer to the configurator for exact memory limits.

Most Other mobile phones now use Micro-SD memory cards. The majority of mobile phones on the market will be able to use up to 2GB. Most of the newer mobile phones can use larger Micro-SD cards up to 16GB. All Micro-SD memory cards 4GB and above are also referred to as Micro-SDHC (Micro SD High Capacity). You may see them called Micro-SD or Micro-SDHC but if they are 4GB or above they are all the same format. Please check the configurator to see if your mobile use the higher capacity cards.

Digital Cameras:

Sony Digital Cameras use either Memory Stick Pro Duo or Memory Stick Pro. Generally if you camera was manufactured after 2006 it will use Memory Stick Pro Duo which is the newer format of Sony memory cards. These are smaller than Memory Stick Pro. If you do have an older Sony camera that uses Memory Stick Pro you will need to purchase a Memory Stick Pro Duo memory card that comes bundled with an Memory Stick Pro adaptor. This is becuase Sony no longer produce Memory Stick Pro cards on their own.

Fuji and Olympus Digital Cameras use a format called XD-Picture card. These memory cards are solely for Fuji and Olympus cameras and will not work with any other brand of camera. XD-Picture cards are a slightly different format to the older XD cards. If your camera was produced prior to 2004 please check that it supports XD-Picture cards.

Most other digital camera brands use either SD or SDHC memory cards. Nearly all cameras that support SD will be able to use SD memory cards up to 2GB. If your camera was produced after 2007 then there is a good chance that it will also support SDHC. This stands for SD High Capacity and is a slightly different format to SD. SDHC memory cards are now available up to 32GB. Please check the configurator above to see if your camera supports SDHC.
SDHC compatible devices are backwards compatible, so if your camera supports SDHC it will also support SD cards up to 2GB. This is not true the other way around though. If your camera only supports SD you will not be able to use SDHC memory cards.
